Results of Our Alumni Survey!

The results of our alumni survey are in! Thank you to the many of you who participated. For those who haven’t had the chance yet, it’s not too late--you can still take the survey here.

We wanted to do just a quick look at the takeaways from several of the questions on the survey.

Q: In which of the following activities are you interested?

The biggest response to this question here was attending events like reunions, with more than 300 votes. The other items to receive more than 200 votes on the list were receiving updates on HSE/FHS alumni, receiving updates on HSE/FHS schools and keeping in touch with classmates using an online directory.

Q: How important is it that the following services are available on the Tigers and Royals alumni network website?

From this response, people were most interested in getting information about reunions and events, having an alumni directory and having some sort of job board or employment networking section.

Q: What three words come to mind when you think of Hamilton Southeastern High School or Fishers High School?

Taking all the responses from this survey question, we made a word cloud to find the most common responses. The ones that stick out are “pride,” “community,” “opportunity,” “excellence” and “successful.”

Finally, we wanted to share a couple comments from alumni that we really appreciated:

I graduated from HSE in 2011. I made great memories there and even better friends that I still talk to even to this day. The teachers there always listened and wanted to help. When I first went into the Hamilton Southeastern School District, I was in 7th grade. I came from a private school that did not care unless you were the top of the class. My teachers at the school district always cared. Teachers would strive for excellence not for themselves but for their students.

And one more…

I’m a proud Tiger. I graduated in 1960. I’ve been treasurer for the original FHS alumni for many years. I am proud that we have been able to give scholarships to Fishers and HSE seniors. I’m also a proud supporter of HSE. I have had eight family members attend HSE. I also retired from HSE cafeteria staff after 15 years. So my loyalty to Fishers and HSE has been a long one.

Thanks to everyone once again for taking part and for supporting us! We appreciate all of the great feedback and responses.
