Bio

Alvina is a public health professional with expertise in health policy and healthcare access. She holds an MSPH in Health Policy and Management from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with certificates in Human Rights, LGBTQ+ Health, and Health Disparities. Her experience spans healthcare policy analysis, Medicaid program management, and research on improving care delivery for vulnerable populations. Previously, she served as a Health Policy Analyst at the Maryland Department of Health and coordinated the CCC Program at Johns Hopkins, connecting students with Baltimore community organizations for public health projects. Currently, Alvina works at NORC at the University of Chicago as a Research Director in the Health Care Programs department.
